Dressing Up In Style

The Dress
The glimmer of gold and the shimmer of silver are popular this fall. Gold brocade dresses falling to about two to three inches above the knee are hits for evening wear. Silver metallic dresses cinched at the waist light up any evening party. However, some women don’t like the look of metal, so go with black. A raw silk black sheath or a chiffon halter always makes for a classic evening look.

Shoes
For evening, sandals are always appropriate. Black sandals go with almost everything, but if you are wearing metallic dresses, then go with matching metallic shoes. Wear no hose and make sure legs are smooth and well moisturized.

Make-up
For the evening, make-up can be applied a little bolder. Smokey eyes look good with eye liner around the eyes to add emphasis. An oil-free moisturizer mixed with highlighters or shimmer dust applied before the foundation adds some glimmer to the face. Don’t forget plenty of sheer gloss added over lipstick to add some shine to those lips.

Hair
The hairdo is the final accessory. French Twists or simple chignons create a classic style. For a more modern look, make sure and relax those up-dos. Have a few curls escaping from the twist or chignon. This frames the face and looks romantic. With short hair make sure and add some glitter and shine. Wear it smooth.
